Christmas Cookie Round-Up

Gingerbread BellsI’m not sure if you’ve heard the news yet, but there are only four days until Christmas.

Four. days.

If you’re one of those people who is ridiculously on top of things, I’m sure you’ve had your shopping done for a month now and have already baked twelve dozen cookies in fourteen different varieties and have absolutely no need for one more cookie recipe this holiday season. If that’s you, I congratulate you. Also, please know that I’m not-so-secretly hating you right now (and also begging you to please share your secret. Please. How do you do it?)

If you were previously unaware of the fact that you only have four days left to bake those Christmas cookies for your toddler’s class party on Monday, this post is for you.

I’ve rounded up my all-time favorite Christmas cookies recipes in one neat and tidy post, just in time for your next holiday party. All of these recipes are tried-and-true favorites in our household, and I promise you can’t go wrong with any of them.

Gingerbread Bells

Does anything say “Christmas” more than gingerbread? These babies are a classic. Pure Christmas perfection. And they’re just so pretty, too.

Sugar Cookie Cutouts
Sugar Cookie Cutouts

Another classic Christmas cookie. I made these with my toddler yesterday, and he had the. best. time. cutting out the cookie shapes and watching them bake in the oven. Messy? Definitely. But it’s all about making memories, right?

Kolache
Kolache

My great-grandmother used to make these traditional Eastern European pastries every year at Christmastime. I made these last year, and I’m not entirely sure that anyone else even knew of their existence in my kitchen. I may or may not have consumed half of them as they were coming out of the oven. And that’s all we’ll say about that. Ahem.

These biscotti are perfect for last-minute gifts. Or for just munching with your morning coffee. Either way.

Peppermint Meringues

These little meringue cookies are light and airy and perfectly bite-sized. Make dozens of these. Dozens upon dozens upon dozens. Just trust me on this one.

Gingersnap Cookies with Cinnamon Cream Cheese Filling

I got this recipe from one of my favorite bloggers, Amy from Entertaining Creativity. I make these cookie sandwiches every year, and they’re always one of the first ones gone!

Neapolitan Cookies
Neapolitan Cookies

These little beauties are a staple in any baker’s holiday repertoire. Easy to throw together, plus you can make them waaaaay ahead of time and just pop them in the freezer. When you’re ready to bake them, just slice and bake! Easy peasy!

Candy-Stripe Cookie Sticks

These are, quite possibly, my all-time favorite Christmas cookies. And wow are they impressive! I get tons of compliments every time I make these beauties. Be forewarned, they are a little time-consuming. But they’re absolutely worth it!

Peppermint Mocha Cupcakes

Not really feeling the cookies this year? No worries! These cupcakes are a real crowd-pleaser. They taste exactly like a peppermint mocha, and are just gorgeous on a holiday dessert table.

Mini Pumpkin Pies
Mini Pumpkin PiesWhile not technically cookies, (ok, they’re not cookies. not even close.), these lovelies are a favorite on my Christmas dessert table every year. Everybody loves pie. And bite-sized pie? That’s a no-brainer.

And of course, if mini pies aren’t your thing, you can’t go wrong with a classic pumpkin pie. Go big or go home, right?
