Guys. Today. My heart is just overwhelmed with thankfulness.
I mean, seriously.
I am one. blessed. lady.
And I really (like, really) hope that your heart is full today, too.
Because that’s what Thanksgiving is all about. Hearts so full they can burst. An amazing meal in the company of the ones we love. A whole day to reflect on the the things that make our lives just so darn special.
My little threesome is spending Thanksgiving in The Big Apple this year with our church life group. And while I’d love to spend the holiday with our extended family, my heart is just bursting with gratitude for this little family we’ve found here in Brooklyn.
So whatever today holds for you, I hope it’s filled with all great things.
Food. Family. Friends so close they might as well be family. And maybe even a little serendipity.
Happy Thanksgiving, friends!
I have a serious love affair with pumpkin.
And while I realize that this is, quite possibly, the most unoriginal statement that I could write in this generation of pumpkin-obsessed, UGG boot-wearing, fall-loving 20-somethings, it’s the truth.
I. love. pumpkin. everything.
Pumpkin pie. Pumpkin coffee. Pumpkin candles. Pumpkin cookies. Pumpkin bread. Pumpkin yogurt.
But let’s be clear about one thing. I loved pumpkin long before loving pumpkin was cool.
I’m not just a bandwagon pumpkin lover. Oh no. Pumpkin and I go waaaaay back. Back before that Starbucks barista marked “PSL” on a white cup for the very first time, before Trader Joe’s carried 500 different pumpkin-flavored items, pumpkin and I were a thing.
I’ve had years to cultivate a very sophisticated pumpkin-inspired palate, and I have to say, I’ve outdone myself this time.
Pumpkin spice French macarons.
Let’s just call these little bites of heaven my “Happy Autumn!” gift to you. From one pumpkin-lover to another, you’re welcome.
